I used to laugh and smile with glee 😊 😀 😃
It’s always the way I used to be
But life got in the way
Got more serious
Work, bills and mortgages to pay 🏠 🏡
A business to run
Every day
Originally it was great fun
And exciting too
But these days I feel a little blue
I will come out of it
I always do
Maybe it’s the weather
I’m a sunshine girl
It brings out the best in me you see
Out in the sunshine
In the sea 🌊 And the pool 🏊♀️
Now that’s really cool
It’s then I know
I’m nobody’s fool
So laugh and smile a bit
Give a bit
Well give a lot actually
It’s these things that make you see
Life is for living
Outrageously
Our time’s too short
Not long enough
So change your world
Live your life yourself
Not vicariously
Through your family,
Friends, spouse or foe
Just go ahead and do it now
You never know where your life might be
Today
Tomorrow
Who knows it could be in sorrow
So try to live it joyfully
And joyously
But be kind to others along the way
Don’t be blind to one another’s pain
All of us are living in that fast lane
Pain and sorrow we all know it well
Let’s all send it to hell
Where it belongs
Like no other
Love your mother and father too
And if they’ve gone
Remember them well
If you’re lucky and they’re still here
Then you have nothing to fear
My dear
Give them your time, love and compassion
It really is back in fashion!
Follow your passion and your dreams
Because that’s when life seems
Happy and glad
And you smile again
And laugh off your head.
So follow your passions
Like you did in your youth
Write that book
Play that instrument
Read and paint
Visit the gallery and museums
Go walking, or running
Or pick up those weights
As it’s not long before
We arrive at those white pearly gates
